This NSAI registration mark may only be used by NSAI
certified companies, like Dataproducts. This symbol means that Dataproducts' AISD
headquarters has gone through a stringent and meticulous audit of our quality system and
has been certified to meet the exacting requirements of the worldwide quality standard
known as ISO 9001.
ISO 9001 is the toughest of four sets of standards under
ISO 9000. It is the only standard that includes quality from design and engineering
through manufacturing and distribution. It demands a consistent, documented set of quality
policies and procedures; plans, drawings, forms, work instructions and quality records.
Simply speaking, ISO 9001 stipulates that
"quality" be quantified, qualified and documented. ISO 9001 demands that the
quality system not be theoretical, but prove itself in daily operations.
ISO 9001 requires a corrective action system that traces a
quality problem to its root cause, tracks its correction, communicates the implementation
of that correction to all involved parties and documents the process so that the problem
will not be repeated.
