How Did We Get There?

It began in Simi Valley with a top-level management vision that Dataproducts, already known for high quality imaging supplies, would position itself as the quality leader in the industry. Not just because it would open doors in the global marketplace but because it was the right thing to do. Then came a massive commitment of time, energy and resources.

All departments joined the effort in a months-long exhaustive examination of how we do business at every level. We began and successfully completed the arduous process of planning, fine tuning, and documenting a quality system that would meet the requirements of ISO 9001 registration by involving all members of the quality team; factory employees, supervisors and managers alike.

After achieving initial certification in 1994, it was expanded to include our headquarters facility in 1995. In 1996 our Norcross, Georgia facility was certified to ISO 9001.

The final leg of our registration journey is the addition of our new 80,000 sq. ft. Mexicali, Mexico facility to our ISO 9000 quality system in 1997. With the completion of this infrastructure, Dataproducts AISD is poised to move into the next century as the global leader in the compatible supplies industry.
